If your installation is protected by suppression, the installation and suppression system have to be turned off during repairs or maintenance.
You have to be sure that nobody turns it back on before the work is finished. Especially with installations that have to be regularly started up, stopped and opened, the odds that something goes wrong are great.
Interlock: easy protection
For these and similar situations, StuvEx has developed the interlocking system. This system works with physical keys, that can only be removed or used when certain conditions are met.
When an installation has to be maintained, it first has to be turned off. This stop creates a release signal after which the interlock key can be removed. As long as the key stays out of the lock, it is impossible to start up the installation. This eliminates unpleasant surprises.
Interlock: protection of various processes
Do you need an even stronger protection? We can also provide a solution where, when opening the door, a second key is released. The maintenance technician can take this key with him into the installation. This way it is impossible that, by misunderstanding, someone could close the door behind him.
Or do you prefer to use the interlock to protect a venting duct? This way, nobody can enter the venting duct before the process has been stopped and the protection barrier has been switched off. Also, the process cannot be started up as long as the door to the venting duct is open. This avoids putting the lives of your maintenance personnel in danger.
