Explosion venting towards the inside

If a traditional rupture disc is not an option, the INDOORVENT is a simple and economical alternative.

'INDOORVENT' venting system with integrated flame arrestor

INDOORVENT offers great advantages since it combines a large vent area rupture disc with a flame-arresting filter. The system is highly efficient and universally applicable: it allows venting to take place safely into a building, including Ex zone 22, or into open air if no safe venting zone or direction is available.

The device is virtually maintenance free. After triggering, the rupture disc and the filter elements can easily be replaced by the user. This replacement (versus cleaning) guarantees the filter's continuing functionality. The process can be quickly restarted.

INDOORVENT is an ATEX 'safety system' for venting. Efficient functioning as a safety system is linked to a correct venting area and correct positioning and mounting on the process equipment.

INDOORVENT vents and extinguishes

Pressure relief and flame extinguishing

Since the rupture disc opens during an explosion, the pressure is quickly released. The ceramic filter absorbs the dust and cools the flame jet and the hot gases.

Status indication

A built-in break sensor is provided.

Carefully considered explosion venting

The INDOORVENT consists of a rectangular steel frame. At the process side there is a round flange with a bursting disc; the other sides contain the filter elements.

Explosion venting during different possible processes

  • The system is meant for the venting of dust explosions.
  • The gaskets are suitable for high temperatures and for food products.

Explosion venting in different possible positions

  • Installation in all positions possible.
  • In locations with low exposure frequency, both inside and outside.

ATEX-certified venting system

This is an ATEX- certified 'safety system'.

Consequently, each application must be based on the instructions contained in the ATEX certificate, the product specifications and the user manual. The system is suitable for use in an Ex zone 22.
